Community Water Filter Installation Week

Community Water Filter Installation puts you at the heart of one of Nepal’s most urgent needs: clean drinking water. In off-grid mountain communities, contaminated water is a leading cause of illness, especially among children. Volunteers work alongside local technicians to install gravity-fed filtration systems that serve entire villages for years.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble and install ceramic and biosand water filters
  • Educate families on hygiene and safe water storage
  • Test water quality before and after installation
  • Work with local masons to build protected spring intakes

Live with a host family, eat home-cooked dal bhat, and experience daily life in a Himalayan hill village. Evenings are free for walks, cultural exchange, and stargazing far from city lights.
