About Hillage Nepal Retreat and Farm Stay

Namaste and welcome!
We are Binod and Samuna Thapa, the founders of Hillage Nepal Retreat & Farmstay. This farmstay is the result of a dream we have cherished for many years.
After spending time living and working in Europe, we decided to return to our roots in the peaceful village of Goujini, the place where our Retreat & Farmstay is located. We left behind our life abroad to reconnect with nature, family, and the simple beauty of village life in Nepal.
Our vision is to promote sustainable farming practices while offering our guests an authentic experience of rural Nepal. We want visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the countryside, learn about local traditions, and experience the warmth of Nepali hospitality.

Whether you are visiting from Nepal or from another part of the world, we hope you will enjoy taking part in farm activities, discovering village life, and finding peace in the calm surroundings of nature.
Hillage Nepal Retreat & Farmstay is more than just a place to stay. It is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature and culture, and create meaningful memories.
We warmly invite you to be part of our journey, where simple living, sustainability, and traditional Nepali hospitality come together.
With gratitude and excitement,

Binod Thapa & Samuna Thapa

Community-driven

Every program is co-designed with the village it serves. No outside agendas, no parachuted-in projects.

Safe volunteer programs

Move through the Himalayas as a participant, not a spectator. The route always passes through the village.

Goujini

Why Hillage Nepal

Travel Beyond Tourism.

The mountains don't need saving. The way we visit them does.

Adventure With Meaning

Move through the Himalayas as a participant, not a spectator. The route always passes through the village.

Sustainable Development

Long-horizon work — schools that outlast us, forests we'll never see in full, water that flows for generations.

Cultural Immersion

Live with local families. Learn the language of the kitchen. Earn trust slowly, the way the mountains taught us.
